Muskie Flies

Very nice ties - as usual.

Question: When you're wade fishing, how do you carry muskie flies?

Maybe I need a chest pack?

Pretty much all my fishing for musky is from a kayak, but if i were to wade I would probably use my back pack.

I take all my boxes in the truck. Then I usually pick out out the flys and put them in flat sided Plano boxes in a back pack. I can carry maybe a dozen flys at a time.

Yeah if you like you can carry these boxes in a back pack. I use an orvis sling pack and i can fit two boxes in it

What I tied at the Musky Madness at TCO. Alot of people showed up. It was a good event.

A bunch of friends & I got together sat and had a impromptu musky fly tying jam. Jims Sportcenter had its annual sale and we got together to tye inhouse.

I actually heard reports of drums and an odd chicken blood smell on South 2nd Street saturday......to bad I was hanging a door on my house

Hahaha! Yeager we had the musky mojo going Saturday. We knocked some of the dirtiest, greasiest flys. Real gamers!

Now that's pretty cool TD. Looks like a fun day there.

How many deer were harmed in the making of that first pic?

I think there was as much bucktail scraps on the floor as there was on some of our flies!

Ha Jay I would say that equates to approximately the death of 6 deer. They died for a good cause though : )

I've really learned a lot browsing through all the info provided on the forum over the past few months about predator fishing and tying muskie flies. I have tied up a few predator leaders with wire bite guards. My big streamer box is half full of predator flies. Now I have to figure out the hardest part. How do I actually tie into one of these beasts with fly gear? This is a totally new ball game for me ......... but I am really looking forward to challenge. Thanks guys, for all of the valuable information.

At least there gettin the hint longer is better when it comes to figure 8 & boat side work. The price is resonable too. It will be hard to beat the blue water in my opinion.

Ive been messing around with The "T Bone" style heads. Big time water pushers.
