Thorax - Black beaver dubbing
Hackle - Grizzly hen

Apply a swipe of crazy glue to the thread wraps before wapping the moose mane or overcoat the body with uv resin

Thank you! I am now inspired to tie this fly (seriously). I love the look of quill body subsurface flies. There are so many out there it can be hard to narrow a tying style down. Not only are the materials cheap and readily available, but MOOSE and SQUIRREL!

Are all those tied on jig hooks? I see your using jig beads on 'em.
 
Thank you! So far ya they're all on jig hooks size 12-18 but I also have 'altoona curveys' in 14/16 which are common curved nymph hooks I'll be using for some patterns. I just use slotted beads for everything all from tactical to keep things simple and consistent.
