Ed do we need an extension cord?

Good thinking! It certainly wouldn't hurt.

Won't need a really long one - there's a lot of receptacles around the perimeter of the room...

Well as of yesterday, I've been scheduled to work this sat. Trying to get out of it, but I probably won't know until Fri...fingers are crossed.

Just wanted to give a heads up...I wasn't sure if there is a set schedule or not yet.

Jay I hope you can make it! You have some materials waiting for you.

I'll probably attend. Don't have any skills in tying yet to talk about. I'm willing to listen and try at it. Lord knows I need help in the tie flying area!! Also the listening area....

Hope you can make it 'Flyer.

We're gonna have beginner's instruction done by the Hokendauqua TU folks. They've been doing beginner fly tying classes for over 20 years. They'll have a couple of tying setups ready for anyone that wants to try their hand at fly tying.

We'll also have LL Bean's fly tying instructor (George Maciag) tying in the rotation, and he'll be available to help anyone with any questions they may have.

One of the things that I wanted to stress to the beginners is that there are several very good beginner classes available in the area. These classes are either free, or have a very nominal cost to attend. This will be a great opportunity to talk to the people that actually run these classes, and they'll have all the information with them to get signed up.

There's still a couple of spots available in the tying rotation, and walk ons are welcome as well. If you think you might want to tie, but are unsure if you can do this, just bring your tying gear. Once you see the fun involved, you'll want to participate!

Hey Ed I just wanted to let you know i'll be tying the Matts October Caddis. Is there anything I can bring? I'll be there earlier than last year to help set up. See you in the morning!!

Oh year dont forget where im sitting!! hint hint, I wanna buy a really good tying book!!! Hahahahahahaah!

Some spiced pickles and pulled pork sammiches would be cool!

Just kidding. Some soft pretzels would be a good thing - it's gonna be a long day...

Oh, I haven't forgotten where you're sitting - right between SkyBlue and Old Lefty.

Nervous? :-o

any tackle stores near the LGNC that sell fly tying materials?

Yickes!!!! That's prime seating buddy!!! Thank you (x2)!!! Ok let me call the pretzel place. Thanks again

And it gets worse....

On the other side of Rick is George Maciag, and on the other side of Old Lefty is delta_dog. Guide row.

That's some wicked tying talent you're in the middle of!

BTW - just got your voicemail. I was asleep - it's a third shift thing. :-( Bring whatever you want to for the raffle.

Eunan - Closest shop is like 30 minutes up the turnpike (Evening Hatch). Cabelas is about the same to the West.

Third largest metropolitan area in PA, and we don't have a stinkin' fly shop! There's the Heritage Shop on the Little Lehigh, but he doesn't carry much tying stuff.

Here is a suggestion for anyone tying at this event. Either tie up a sample of your pattern tonight or as soon as you get settled in at the Jam and make up a little card with the name of the fly to put on display on the table in front of your tying area. . This way if spectators or other tyer's see a pattern they are interested in they can make sure they are in the hall and ready with questions when it's getting tied. Just my 2 cents.

Yeah, Fredrick is my Chief of Security. Nothing escapes his eagle eye. ;-)

If I was ever in a bar fight, I'd want Fredrick with me.

He is powerful.
