Fur strip Clouser tied on a size 2 Gamakatsu B10S hook. Tied mainly as a Smallmouth fly but could also be a pretty solid Striper pattern.

If you’re driving along the road and pass that fresh looking roadkill (maybe even still quivering), don’t pass it up. You may find a critter with a patch of skin that you can cure up and it will tie a lot of flies for you. Ringneck pheasant - rusty rump feathers, pheasant marabou feathers, blue/green back feathers all with an attached philo plume … the options are endless!!

I think a dozen of your flies would bake a stunning wall calendar! Truly, they are beautiful.

Just curious, have you heard this podcast? The Feather Heist
That's a great idea....especially with Nfrechet's "products". A "creation" of say.....Pennsylvania's top 25 (pick a number) fly's attached to some sort of display backing, frame 'n glass and you got yourself a "Man's Room" special!!

Making some jig streamers for early season. Easy pattern that works in the spring.

I was playing around with pheasant tail nymphs. (Size 14) I tied similar versions in a Hares Ear style last year and they worked pretty well. View attachment 1641228368
Very nice! I've tied the same using a FO bead and have caught many on that color bead. Cracks me up that Fluorescent Orange (FO) color isn't in any stream bug that I've seen....but they work!

Yep John, every time I see a squirrel on the road in the road I am tempted to stop and retrieve.
