Great looking ties everyone. Dave that looks interesting. Adding ribbing would not hurt. But I don't think it would matter to the fish. On that color body I would add gold. Hope you have good luck with them.

Been tying up some stuff for Stripers getting ready for the spring run now that I'm living in NYC. Hoping to get into some action.

Also been tying up some sulphur patterns for a May trip to South Holston River in TN.

Enjoy!

Wow a lot of great looking flies you guys have been tying. Here is one I tied over the weekend. A good ole Adams. I used barred wood duck for the wings. I have done other patterns using these feathers.
They show up good on the stream.

Good buggy looking Hare's Ear, RC.

I tied up a couple of caddis pupa type patterns this evening. These are two of my favorite caddis colors: "Hare's Ear" tan and "Tully" green.

Nice - I've tied up some similar ones but haven't fished them much. Even with a bunch of weight wrapped on the hook they didn't sink as well as I'd hoped. I thought the wool would be much more absorbent than it is. How have you done with these and how have you been weighting them to get them down?

It's kind of an experiment for me. I have 20+ wraps of lead wire on that pattern. I'm thinking of threading on a couple of black 3/16" tungsten beads along the belly on some heavy mono if these don't get down and from what you're saying, they probably won't get down the way I want them to. Ya live and learn!

If these aren't getting down I'll probably stick a big old chunk of split shot right in front of the fly to get it on the bottom.

Dick Taulleur's Savage Seducer. Easy tie, cheap materials. Works well on central PA streams.
