>>>What Are You Tying Today? Part III

I've been tying up some more stuff for my Striper box. Size 2 chartreuse/white Lefty's Deceiver.

I've also been playing around with the Clear Cure Goo UV Resin. Really liking the heads that can be cured with this product, particularly for coating over the stick on eyes of the saltwater flies and increasing the durability of the fly in general.

John, nicely tied. Chartreuse is always a good choice. But there is a color I would prefer. Lime green tail with white colar. I'll bring you some at the Spring jam. But great looking fly.

I found a recipe for a goose biot baetis nymph. I tied them on a size 20 Dai Riki 3x long nymph hook (#285). I used olive, dark brown and ginger colored biots. Looking forward to trying this pattern out!

Thanks, Mike. Is it just a lime green saddle hackle tail and a full collar of all white bucktail? I think I have a few saddle hackle feathers that may be closer to the color you refer to but don't know that I would call them lime green.

John, I will dig some out and send you a pic. Try to do that later today.

Got my new wire and shanks bent. My first bucktail game changer with the double d head. Shoulda Andre's another shank but I was afraid of the mid ship eat and the ski not getting any iron.

^ What do those fussbudget browns on the Letort think about to those nicely tied Royals?

not sure yet, probably find out this summer  ....the local brookies up in the hills sure do like them though.

Flav comparaduns and sparkle duns for the Henry's Fork this summer. Sorry for the blurry picture.

Some really nice flies fellas.

Here's a big ole Pteronarcys nymph just itching to get drifted through some big riffles on some big freestoner this spring.

Good look on the big stonefly nymph, Dave.

I've been playing around with a couple of new (to me) ideas. Jig head nymphs and woven bodies. Here is a top and bottom view of a size 10 jig head woven body with a tungsten bead head to run as a point fly on a tandem nymph rig.

Nothing awesome about it. It's a simple tie and I hope to try it out this weekend and see if it works.

Thinking about adding some black or gold wire for ribbing to spice it up some. What do you think?
