Mike,

I think you tied that caddies up for me at a newbie jam a few years back. Floated like a cork and was quite effective. xelon for the shuck? Looped CDC wing. But what's the dubbed thorax?

Sorry I missed at the Lancaster show.

Jim, it's hairline dubbin. Chocolate brown.

Here is the picture with proper permissions. I had a report that the first image did not post correctly.

Well I tied something....but I can't upload the photo...guess the file size it too large.

I carefully cannibalized a cheapo fly from my box and reused the biots and hackle. It looks like Frankenstein's monster vomited up a feather....but I managed a good smooth thread body and didn't screw up on the whip finish. I'll see if I can get the photo up tomorrow.

I find it easier to use a separate photo hosting site and using the button to the left of the manager button to post a photo. When my photos dont post it is a permissions issue on my end.

Everyone is putting up some great looking flies.

Here's one I tied up yesterday during the snowstorm. Size 14 CDC Comparadun Sulphur. Dreaming of a nice mild late May evening where the sulphurs are popping and the water is boiling with feeding fish!
