D, that's some fine looking tying there. Nice work...

D, love the cut wing dun and the caddis.

Some of you that know me know that I like to tie with quill bodies.
Just playing around with some quills this morning.

Loving this thread - so many awesome ties to see!

It's been a long time since I tied any traditional winged wet flies. It took me a good while to even locate a matched pair of mallard primary wing feathers buried deep in the bottom of one of my bins. This evening I tied up a couple of this classic wet fly in both #12 and #14, of the Leadwing Coachman. I am planning on swinging some of these flies in tandem with some soft hackles this Spring.

Then you should also plan on catching fish... Very nice John.

That's an ugly fly! Lol. Not poorly tied - just a really strange pattern. Does it catch fish?

Streamers for back home waters.

Tyger, you da man. Nice fly as well. Would like to see it in person. Maybe next time we tie.

Looking good Bob.

RCFetter,

Good buggy looking HE. You may want to make your thorax a bit more prominent to get a definite difference in profile between your abdomen and thorax. Use a brush or bodkin to pick out and rough up the sides and bottom of the thorax. Just a couple of things to consider. Keep up the good work. I hope to get a chance to meet you at the tying jam in a few weeks.

Thanks for the advice dc.

Tied a few of these soft-hackle Prince Nymphs in size 14.

Brass Bead-headed, lead wire, tan goose biots for tails, white for the wings and, (since I hate working with peacock herl) Ice Dubbing in Peacock Black.

Edit: Wings are there, just not very visible in this picture.
