i had a forbes magnesium and it was a good reel. I sold it because i got into glass rods for lower line weights and it was lighter than I wanted, I replaced it with the TR 1. I have never used any other forbes reel but based on the magnesium I wouldnt hesitate to buy another one. The forbes aerial looks sweet and if the deal for the lamson lp light i am buying falls through that will be my second choice.

Sweet Tilt. I've been watching the TR Lights. I ended up picking up a Forbes 2.5" Avon...for now.

After some looking around, I now understand why the Abel's are so popular. High quality and good looks.

After setting out a few weeks ago looking for a good 6wt...I ended up with a hell of a 2wt.
