Feeling bummed because this thread is ripping at the moment but I've just been filling the boxes with lots of normal princes/pheasant tails/buggers etc. or other junk I've already posted. Here's some color variants just so I can play along!

I can't imagine a trout actually taking such a fly. These are works of art.....well....maybe a rouge teenage trout....with baggy pants would take it!!

Really nice flies sir. May I ask what kind of dubbing did you use for the ISO nymph abdomen?

Thank you!
Its a mix of Hareline dubbing colors. 4/1/.5 ratio Chocolate Brown, Black , Hendrickson Nymph.
You can mix by hand or a small coffee grinder. Hand blending is a little labor intensive but probably better. I use a small electric grinder but it probably chops the fur a bit and damages it vs blending them by hand. I just mixed up enough to do probably 20,000 nymphs many years ago and it works fine so I haven't needed to hand blend any recently! 😛

MJM, thanks for the info. I've dabbled with the coffee grinder but mostly hand blend.

Hi everyone,
New to the forums and relatively new to fly tying/fishing. Lots of awesome tiers here and so thankful to be able to look and learn from everyone's photos! Here are a few size 10 olive buggers I did last night. Tried to keep my tails shorter than I usually do. They might be too short, but I have missed more than a few in the past from tails that are too long.
