Extended body Coffin fly - tied on a #10 ahrex FW511
I can't imagine a trout actually taking such a fly. These are works of art.....well....maybe a rouge teenage trout....with baggy pants would take it!!

Really nice flies sir. May I ask what kind of dubbing did you use for the ISO nymph abdomen?A whole hodgepodge of nuts and bolts stuff this evening.... Some #16 & 18 PMD / sulphur split case nymphs and PMD CDC sparkle duns thinking about my august trip to the Bighorn River.....and then back to PA for a few #18 Blue Quills CDC sparkle duns and some smaller 13-14mm Isonychia nymphs on a swimming nymph hook.View attachment 1641229193View attachment 1641229194View attachment 1641229195View attachment 1641229196View attachment 1641229197

Thank you!
Its a mix of Hareline dubbing colors. 4/1/.5 ratio Chocolate Brown, Black , Hendrickson Nymph.
You can mix by hand or a small coffee grinder. Hand blending is a little labor intensive but probably better. I use a small electric grinder but it probably chops the fur a bit and damages it vs blending them by hand. I just mixed up enough to do probably 20,000 nymphs many years ago and it works fine so I haven't needed to hand blend any recently! 😛View attachment 1641229206
