A half and half pattern tied on a size 4 hook to imitate the gizzard shad.

I got this pattern from a video from tightlinevideo on youtube, and I really like it. The deer hair body is pretty easy to tie - looked intimidating at first, but it ended up not being that hard. Also the antron to split the hackle fibers in front is smart - gives the impression of split wings.

This one is tied with a product called "web wing," but i tied a few others with the standard turkey tail fibers.

Marabou, saddle hackle, indian hen and grizzly collar. Rear hook is size 12 nymph, front is #8 4xl streamer hook.

^no prob and thanks mike! They are really simple, the body is just the marabou tail wrapped forward, then the black saddle hackle and finished with a big hen feather and grizzly.

I dropped one in my fish tank to see the motion of it and it killed one of my tetras.

tried my hand at some hackle stackers. I've never used them on the water so I figured I'd try some out this weekend.
