Mc, Dc ( couldn't resist writing that ) Sweet looking ties there. John, sounds like the perfect set up for some vise time, I dont see where that one would spook em...

Thanks Jack. I love tying'em. As a matter of fact, I think I like fishing them even more!

More Deer hair flies:

I got this pattern from a video from tightlinevideo on youtube, and I really like it. The deer hair body is pretty easy to tie - looked intimidating at first, but it ended up not being that hard. Also the antron to split the hackle fibers in front is smart - gives the impression of split wings.

This one is tied with a product called "web wing," but i tied a few others with the standard turkey tail fibers.

few for steel

Looks good Tyger. I need to see one up close. Like on the end of my leader!

^no prob and thanks mike! They are really simple, the body is just the marabou tail wrapped forward, then the black saddle hackle and finished with a big hen feather and grizzly.

I dropped one in my fish tank to see the motion of it and it killed one of my tetras.

tried my hand at some hackle stackers. I've never used them on the water so I figured I'd try some out this weekend.
