The Valley Forge Chapter of Trout Unlimited will host its largest fundraiser Saturday, March 18 at the Great Valley High School, 225 N. Phoenixville Pike, Malvern, PA 19355. If you fish Valley Creek, you can thank VFTU for the great wild trout fishery and show your appreciation by coming out to our Trout Show this Saturday. There will be lots of great raffles featuring top of the line fishing and outdoor gear - including an Orvis Helios 2 rod, a custom bike and kayak. Our guest speaker is Bob Romano who will give a presentation on wild brook trout in the Rangeley Lakes region of western Maine.

This is always a great time, plus it's for a great cause. There would not be the quality ffishing at Valley Creek if it were not for the long term efforts of VFTU. The chapter has put in lots of diligent legwork over the years (actually decades), attending township commission meetings, planting trees for bank protection and so forth. It has had to go beyond the efforts of most conservation groups by engaging in actual (and costly) lawsuits against groups like the Paoli trainyard (for PCB pollution); however, most of the real work, which makes less news but gets much of the actual results, is working together with real estate developers and turnpike commissions to arrive at resolutions that still achieve the financial objectives of those groups but still protect the watershed.

Always a good time!! If you want to show support for Trout Unlimited. We can sign you up for half price! We have 850 members in the Valley Forge Chapter and a lot of us visit this site. We have been on the job for 40 years doing good stuff for our cold water fisheries! And we fish some too! Pete
