working on improvements. no more lead eyes went back to stacking lead to get an even swimming motion. 1/0 stinger hook

Love the look of this pattern, Sandfly! I can only imagine how it looks when wet; it's probably got a great swimming motion.

What's the main material used?

What do you mean by stacking lead Sandfly? Just lashing strips to the hook shank?
 
yep to act as a keel to keep hook point up. I first wrap the shank then add 2 lengths then one on top of that. cover with thread and cover with cement. the fly sinks fast but level like a real baitfish
