Gutcutters #3 photo (with or without tails) is pretty much then end of trico discussion in my opinion. Is that crinkled z-lon, Tony?

Edit: And it was probably mentioned earlier, however that impression upon the water is demonstrated in that fly. That angled fiber is just shockingly amazing at giving an "impression" that fish tend not to reject as frequently.

It's white "Hi Vis". Not sure if it is Antron or Z-lon.
