Raccoon and opossum

Is raccoon fur or opossum fur any good for tying flies and if so what kind? Reason I ask is I do some trapping this time of the year and they aren't worth much this year. I was wondering if I should keep one or two for tying flies before I practically give them away.

Yes they are good for tying flies. Nymphs, wet flies, hairwing salmon flies, etc... use you imagination!!
