Parrot feathers.

I work at an elementary school. Our office secretary overheard me saying that "I don't hunt anymore but I may take up again to save on feathers." So today she hands me a bag of parrot feathers that molted off of a pet. Most are primary type feathers. Do any of you have any experience with this type of feathers for tying? Most are green. I may try to pair some up and tie a classic style wets, not sure.

Donnie Boyan from the old Orchard View Anglers used to tie some awesome flies out of Blue McCaw...(spelling). He used them for Steelhead flies...PM me if you want his number...
