I did see the 8' featherlight ( latest version with walnut reel seat) at ****s Sporting Goods (hagerstown, MD) for 14.99 ! I want the 7' so I didn't get it. Might go back though because you cant beat that price.

The 8' is crap.

I haven't had the 6'6" version yet, but the 7' far superior to the 8'.

Match the 6'6" or 7 up with Pflueger Medalist (Currently on sale in the bargain cave of Cabelas for $19.99) and you'll have a great panfish outfit for less than $50 (not counting line and flies)
