We are pleased to announce a new flying fishing class. This time, it's for the children!
Kids Introduction to Fly Fishing
August 5th at Mainstream Outfitters
The “Kids’ Introduction to Fly Fishing” class will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the fly shop with on-the-water, actual fishing immediately following.
Instructor, Pen Hallowell will cover fundamental equipment, basic knot tying, casting techniques and what trout and bass like to eat and an introduction to fly selection. Pen will also discuss fly fishing etiquette and catch and release.
Equipment, class materials, pizza and drinks will be provided free of charge.
This is a free class for kids 8 – 16 years old. Parents are welcome to attend with a “kid.”
The on-the-water option will be held at Lake Galena. A parent must accompany and transport the child to and from the lake.
Space is limited and registration is required by calling 215-766-1244.
Call now and leave your name and contact information along with the number of 'kids' that will be attending. We will also need to know if you and your child will be coming to Lake Galena following the class at the shop.
We think this is going to be fun and we intend to make it fun for the kids!
