Best small stream reel

Currently like the new Orvis Battenkill and a group of English made Btttenkill, BBS and CFO'S. The CFO is a great reel. All my drag reels are rarely fished, I just prefer click/pawl.

Check out Lamson Liquid.

I haven't used them, but they look pretty good, and I've heard good things about them.

Has anyone here used these?
Yes Dwight, I use the Lamson Liquid on my 7' 3wt St. Croix Imperial and it's works out beautifully. I don't know that it's "the best" small stream reel, but for $100 it does what I need it to do. I love this combination on the small streams that I spend most of my time on.

redington zero and cabelas glass..never had so much fun on small creeks

I use two old click and pawls (25 yrs or so) reels a SA System 1 456 (made in England) or a STH 234 (made in Argentina). I recently added a Ross Evo R 3/4 that was on sale for 45% off. This reel is sealed drag and very smooth. The reel holds 85 yds of backing and a 4wt line so it can be used for larger fish on larger streams and rivers. The Evo R 3/4 is being discontinued as it is almost identical to the slightly larger 4/5 model.

the Hardy FWDD is very light, well crafted, and great functioning reel.
