Here are some pictures of my new Tribute rod built by Kevin at Colorado Custom Fly Rods. We worked out the design and specs. and awards by e-mail.
The rod was featured in the Denver Post and the news. I would say that this colaboration worked out well for both of us.
I picked out the hardware, reel seat and insert and gave him all my awards which incorporated along with my drill sargeant badge and American flag. someone from another site saw the pictures and called the local press and they thought it would make a great story. Just after the half page article previewed, Kevin received four orders and two that are very interested. I was honored that my one of a kind rod was the featured rod. Enjoy the pictures and news article along with the video!

Nice rod. Hope you catch many brookies on it.

Thank-you for your service!

Very well done. I really liked the pics. I never thought to secure my guides to the blank like that before thread-wrapping. All this time, I've been messing around with little pieces of tape.

Thanks guys.

This rod is truly amazing, not only in workmanship but the blank is so dainty. it is a 6'-6" 2wt 2pc banty, super light and very petite. Every time I hold it, my chest grows 6" and my head holds high. I will love this rod for the rest of my life. It has my whole 18 years of military service on it. Just truly amazing. I love it so much, I almost hate to fish it. I don't even want to pull the plastic off the cork.

Let alone if this rod were to be handed down through the family the significance it would have.
