What Are You Tying Today?

I’m going to Canada in a week for my wife’s family reunion. I intend to spend as much time as possible on my own fishing. So I’ve been tying up a bunch of smallmouth flies — Clouser minnows, crayfish, swimming nymphs, kreelex streamers, and anything else I can think of.

Precision in Lancaster doesn’t have it. It sucks when you think you bought this stuff years ago and are too unorganized to actually locate it! 😉
Dear dc410.

And now you know why I tie so infrequently anymore. I have all the stuff, but I'll be damned if I can remember where I put it! 😉

Regards,

Tim Murphy 🙂

Dear bdhoover,

Make sure you tie some simple foam cylinder poppers for your trip. Nothing beats a smallie whacking a topwater fly!

Tim Murphy 🙂

Not sure if this has been brough up before, but how do material-heavy flies keep between seasons? I know hooks rust on my big flies under the wings or parachute - no matter how much I try to dry them. Does something similar happen the braided body and leather body flies after a dunking?
By the way, all the flies on this thread are absolutely gorgeous.
