Any advice on using golden pheasant tippet for tailing?

snip them off from the stem and try to keep the tips even

What size hook do you use for these? Is it always the about same size? Also do you just Tie one of each pattern?

i use size 10

but they can be tied from size 6 to 16

i tie only one but have tied up to a dozen for fly swaps

Body - White floss

Wing - Grey speckled turkey with married strands of blue, yellow and scarlet duck/goose on each side

It’s a stripped hackle from a brown cape. I don’t know where I got it, just liked the color. It was pretty soft, and didn’t need to be soaked before I wrapped, and coated it with SHHN.

Hate tying in legs on pheasant tails, started using squirrel in dubbing loops and I’m addicted. Really like the buggy look.
