I also bet they would be good for smallies. Nice ties.

Those trash fish?!

Wouldn't complain about that one bit. My first susky bass actually came off the back of a big mud cloud from what I assume was a carp.

Thanks for the compliment.

I hooked the biggest smallie I ever had on a flyrod last summer on that crayfish pattern. I had him right at my fingertips and was just trying to lip him when the fly popped out. I was actually fishing for carp at the time and that dang big old Smallmouth came bustin' out of a weedbed and crushed it. I had a lot of fun playing it but it eventually got all tangled up in a serious weedbed and I dredged him out with the 8 wt. and 13 lb. test tippet. The worst part of whole deal was that he totally screwed up a really good carp hole!

Messing around with some streamers....still trying to get the hang of this fly tying.....the streamers tend to come a bit easier than the small stuff.

Recently bought some black shelf liner stuff for under a rug, and then realized that now I can tie Ken's Crazy Ant!

Also watched Tim Camissa's recent video about a fly that's tied with a crystal flash body - the sluiceway special, so decided to whip up a few of those also in brown, black, and red.

Jeremy,
Nice! I just snatched a patch of the shelf liner off my bro in law.

Steven,
You do tie awesome streamers. Good work

I am working with a new kind of thread I received. Trying to figure out spiffy patterns and junk. It is a combo thread. First color I worked on this morning that I actually liked was the black and grey color. Will try other colors tonight and post anything I come up with.

Becker,
Neat!
I like those colors (outa be good fish catchers too).

Cressbugs...

Nice cress bugs FI! very suggestive. I bet the trout like em too.

SBeck, really cool colors. We're they photographed under a UV Light or is that thread naturally that hue?

No UV light used.

Loading up the boxes pretty well. Just a handful of all the ones I tied within a few hours. Everything from Sucker Spawn's to little Zebra Midges.

Cool ties Shane, so what's the thread?

Some neat cress bugs you got there FI, recipe?

It's called Combo thread. Get it on Comptons site.

SBecker, those are some cool looking flys. Nice ties as well.

Fishidiot, very cool little cress bugs. Look like they are fun to tie.

Really enjoying the great ties to be seen in this thread.

Here are some Brassies I tied today instead of risking frostbite.
