The best trout water in Pennsylvania is the creek, river or stream I'm headed to after a weeks worth of work.
True. But many of those famous streams are really good streams, and that's why they're famous and lure people away from all of the other good streams. The purpose of famous streams is to draw fishermen away from the really good streams.
How many Trout Brooks are there in PA. Most states in trout territory have a bunch of them.
Is a Trout Brook the same as a trout stream? 🙂 I've never heard of one referred to as Brook. Only Creek, or Run.How many Trout Brooks are there in PA. Most states in trout territory have a bunch of them.
This is "signature line" worthy. Gave me a laugh. The purpose of famous streams is to draw fishermen away from the really good streams.
I can think of a few streams in PA called “Trout Run.”How many Trout Brooks are there in PA. Most states in trout territory have a bunch of them.
I didn't come up with that line, unfortunately. I "borrowed" it from someone, but I'm not sure who. Maybe John Gierach. This is "signature line" worthy. Gave me a laugh.

In PA, small streams are most commonly referred to as "runs."
In New England, the term "brook" is much more commonly used than in PA.
