Friday, May 19 is the start of our meetup for the Paflyfish Spring Jamboree Weekend at the Seven Mountains Campground. This is our annual get-together for members of the site to fly fish, tie flies, camp, and share a few stories. We have a lot of fun fishing over some of Pennsylvania's finest streams including the Little J, Penns Creek, Spring Creek, Fishing Creek, and plenty more in the region.

The pavilion at Seven Mountains Campground is rented by Paflyfish and is used as a meeting point during the weekend. Plenty of impromptu conversations, fly-tying, and meet-ups occur at the pavilion.

The weekend is a casual event with fly fishing in a great region of Pennsylvania. As with every year, we will be meeting up in the evenings at the pavilion to catch up on the day's fishing trips. Friday and Saturday mornings we meet for coffee and plan the day. Often plenty of opportunities for some fly tying and casting lessons are shared.

At this time, we will not be going to plan any special speakers or activities. That could change, but there is always plenty of impromptu fly tying, casting lessons, and support on where to fish. So if you are unsure about the area, do not worry there are plenty of members from the site that can help get you started.

I will be there Wednesday to Wednesday.

I intend to follow the guidelines for quiet time .

There’s a big difference between 11:30pm/12am and our sometimes partying until the sun comes up 😂

I have a loose green light from Mrs. Swattie for a day trip only for Saturday (Son born in February.)

Plan is to make it an actual full day though. Get up early, get up there before hangovers have worn off and hang out a bit in the am, then venture off with a group for the day. I’ll probably leave from the stream to head home and won’t be back at the pavilion in the evening, or I’ll be liable to not make it home til Sunday morning. Which likely would curtail future fishing points stored in the bank.

Dave K. - What’s the parking preference of the owners if I’ll just be there for a little while in the AM. (I’m fine paying for a guest day pass or whatever, just don’t want to ruffle any feathers.)

Shakey, I think Art will be up Tuesday, try not to drown him till we get there. Adam and I will be up Thursday and Joe should roll in Friday night. We'll try to be good but I ain't promising anything.😉

The wife and I will be up sometime close to 3 on Friday. Hopefully in enough time to get set up and get to meet some folks. This will be our first time up there.

My wife and I will be there Thursday around 4. Same thing set up and hopefully ready to fish Friday through Sunday. Haven’t been back to that area since 1992 so really looking forward to that.

I've created a PDF checklist for myself, feel free to use it as you'd like.... this is basically a list for anywhere I might go fly fishing, so some items may not be relevant.
Awesome checklist. I almost always forget something every time ,now I shouldn’t.

Dear Board,

I'll be up tomorrow evening and I'll be staying with Jack M in cabin 74. Looking forward to seeing some people I haven't seen in a decade and meeting some new people too.

Regards,

Tim Murphy 🙂

I will be arriving Friday around 3:00 on site 75. I am looking forward to meeting everyone. This will be my first time attending.
