So I haven't been lucky enough to try my luck at striper fishing yet, but I saw this how-to yesterday and thought you guys might enjoy...

Popper How-To

Anybody use anything similar? I'm sure this takes a ton of practice, but I really wanna try and make some for freshwater bass closer to where I usually fish.

Enjoy!

Ah the crease fly... it does work on smallies up here on the North Branch Suskie both on the top with a floating line and used subsurface with a sink tip.

I tie something similar to those occasionally, I don't remember the exact name, but it appeared in Fly Tyer a few years back, it's made with layered foam strips and adhesive backed foam as a top layer. I only tie a few of those a year, as the Clouser EZ popper, Lefty's bug, and the Wapsi Perfect Popper bodies are a heck of a lot faster to tie.

That is a modified crease fly, the crease fly does not have a foam center and is easier to tye. They are nice looking flies though, would be great for Albie's.

cool video. craft stores will taking over fly shops lol.
