material for parasol puff

I'm trying to tie a few parasol nymphs. They look interesting and I'm trying to find out what material to use for the floating puff on the surface supporting the submerged fly.
I'm thinking of trying snowshow rabbits foot since I can't figure out what else to use.
Anyone with experience tying parasols or ideas what may work?

I like parapost or poly yarn, but I'm sure the snowshoe will work as long as it will stay lashed in your knot.

Keep in mind it's to represent an built-in indicator and not a part of the fly...so just copy anything they make indicators out of and you'll be okay.
