Hey all. Was just curious: anyone use a lumbar pack? If so, where and how do you carry your landing net? Up until this summer I've used a vest. I recently converted to lumbar packs, and can't get the hang of comfortably attching the landing net anywhere. Any insight? Thanks!

I love my lumbar pack. I don't carry a net. I dont care if i lose a fish at my feet since I don't, generally don't, take pictures of fish.

I have an old school Brodin spring loaded clip, the net would hang from the top of the hoop while fishing'. Then lash it across the pack while hiking to keep it from swinging into stuff. I imagine one of those fancy new magnet gizmos could be rigged to work the same.

This might just be the ticket.

This might also work:

I recently purchased one, and I love the freedom of not having a net dangling off my sling pack.

I either attach the net to the top handle on the pack like I would to the D ring on a vest or, before it swam away one night, I would tuck the longer handle of my bigger net behind the pack or my wading belt.

Jeremy,

Try a smith creek holder. Much better with a sling imho!

This may or may not work with a lumbar pack. I don't use mine anymore since switching to slings. I'll have to give it a run one of these days. With a sling it rocks! the sling holds the neat against my back and out of the brush, yet its easy access enough for fish. win win.

I do clip it to the holder with a piece of rubber shock cord and a beaner incase I want it off.

I use a Simms lumbar pack and sometimes carry a net. When I do, I just tuck the net, handle down, into the belt portion of my pack. Google search Landon Mayer or any of the hipster Colorado guides. That is pretty much how they all do it.

Btw, not calling Landon a hipster.

Thanks guys. All great ideas. Anyone hit the Lackawaxen lately? I'll be up there in two weeks for a whole week and plan on hitting it hard.
