Labor Day Susky Float

You got it Dave. The fishing was on fire, ice cold and then on fire again. Bizarre at times. Thanks for going and guiding me through the minefields of rock.

One thing that stood out, ZERO carp spotted. Dave did spot several catfish, including a couple estimated at over 30".

3" below normal rainfall and it showed.......but still fished ok.

Glad to hear you guys did well. I got skunked wading between the turnpike bridge and the HIA runway. But I was out between 7:30 and 9:30 am. Maybe I missed a hot spell. Water clarity was maybe two feet.

Makes sense, as we didn't start to get into action until maybe 10am or so.

Incidentally, I tried to inspect every bass that I brought to hand: none had any evidence of lesions or "blotchy bass." All fish were healthy and thick bodied - really good looking fish. Most, I'd guess, were probably from the 2010-11 and 2007-08 year classes based on the most common size ranges we saw.

Here's a pic of Fishwagon just downriver from us as we entered the narrows.
