Were you fishing where canoe rentals picks people up, that small patch of asphalt where you can park next to the river? If so were you fishing up or downstream of that spot?

I quite often have encountered kayakers on the breeches. If I suspect they are packing beer(and it's usually pretty obvious), I usually ask for one. Never been turned down.
