Green drake comments requested.

I've been tying some green drakes and coffin's the past 2 days. Mostly some extended bodied foam hackled flies on a standard sz 8 hook. They're turning out pretty good. Thanks for all the tips on this thread.


Anyone else go into a tying frenzy right before a big fishing trip? I feel like I have to tie as many flies as possible before I go so I'm prepared. I don't care if I'm bringing 1000 flies, I need 1000 more lol.

yeah, even though I hate tying, I've been at the vise that past couple evenings. just doing some generic soft hackles in various colors, along with some green drake soft hackles. might tie some various spinners tonite(easy!!) and maybe some green drake dries, or I might get lazy and buy some up there. gotta do some royal wulffs for the brookie streams as well. I love fishing those!
