It is really something how you can type an obscure fly name in the computer and up pops a video showing every detail. When I think back it is amazing how we learned to tie flies and even fly fish back in the 1970s. My Jr. High School had a fly tying club and we also got to try out some casting when the teacher and some students brought their rods. Eventually in the spring of my 8th grade year he started taking a few of us out fishing. I doubt stuff like that happens these days unless organized by a fly shop.
