Well that's my point, they pretty much have to be Euro style nymph fisherman. They don't have the option of using the indicator rigs that just about every US fly fisherman has adopted.

Tried what? Indictor nymphing? Euro nymphing techniques? Competetive fishing?

If you are asking about what techniques I've tried, I tried them all and without the limitations of compettition, they all have a time and place. This was my original point I was trying to make. The second point I was making was that the rules of competitive fly fishing limit the techniques available for use by the contestants. It shouldn't be suprising that the USA team uses "euro" techniques also.
