Endless Winter.

This is my backyard in northern vermont after I snowblowed yesterday. We will see what March brings now!!!

Looks like my backyard on Saturday but by this afternoon about 3/4 of the snow has melted,
102" officially this year so far. +50" of it happened in the Black Friday/Saturday Storm.
Sap running will start this week but the Cool down this weekend will extend it.
Lake Erie is a big ice cube so I would favor a cool spring early summer for my neck of the woods up here in NWPA.

The sap is running strong in SEPA today. Will continue for the coming week, I suspect. I'm up to about 1.5 gal of syrup so far this winter. Got a batch boiling right now, 10:35PM.

Air temp almost hit 50 after weeks of being below freezing, so I got out yesterday. Threw streamers of all sizes. No fish, but it was nice to even be casting. Water was 42, so not terrible, but lots of shelf ice limited access.

More landscape photography. Been years since I've hit March without getting on the board.

I know we have all either made this kind of comment or have heard others make these comments, but let's not forget that these people aren't wrong intentionally. We should not defame weather forecasters or their service to society. These people try to bring us the best weather forecast possible with the science and the tools currently available to them.

Do they get it wrong? Sometimes, but they have made vast improvements over the years, and they give us a very good idea of what the next several days to a week will look like, and that is important. There is no doubt that weather prediction is better now than it has ever been, and I am sure that it will only continue to get better in the coming decades.

There is a lot of evidence that the weather is controlled

What does “controlled” mean in this context? Do tell.

Artificially controlled meaning its not a natural phenomenon. Its something we have learned to control through science when we desire. Much of it is done with frequency. I dont wanna anger the mods (this could be seen as political, for me its not) but theres a lot of evidence out there if you are willing to poke around a bit and look for it

I can agree with this. This could be perceived as political, so we should let it die.

I'm open minded for pretty much any conspiracy theory but controlling the weather! Even that's too far fetched for me. Now if you were to tell me alien intelligence

Same with the bird conspiracy.

I'm not. I'm a "show me" kind of guy. I believe we can and do alter the weather (trapped greenhouse gases), but control it? Ridiculous!
My late father was of the opinion that weather started changing once jet travel became routine as well as space travel happened.

I believe your father was onto something there. I always wondered about that possibilty as well. All of these rocket launches poke holes in the atmosphere, what damage that is doing is up for debate.

Ain't no change in the weather
Ain't no changes in me
Well, there ain't no change in the weather
Ain't no changes in me
And I ain't hiding from nobody
Nobody's hiding from me
Oh, that's the way it's supposed to be.......

Do asteroids poke holes as well? Because they have been falling from the sky since the dawn of time.

Asteroids the size of a car, or larger (Google it), entering earths atmosphere happens about once a year. Rockets, waaay bigger than a car, poke holes in our atmosphere every day worldwide..
