Endless Winter.

Its ridiculous the amount of salt they put down now in addition to brine, etc. Completely uneccessary and destroys vehicles
Went to the Lititz Rec on Saturday ahead of the 1 inch snow. I couldn't believe the amount of rock salt spread over the huge parking lot. It goes right into the headwaters of Lititz Run.

They put down road salt like I've never seen before. Another thing I've noticed, is even with the slightest accumulation of snow they close the schools. No wonder kids have lower grade scores these days.
When I was growing up, it took a pretty good snow to keep us home from school. If buses weren't running, you walked to school.

It’s been hard to get my 4Runner out to even run it this Winter. (I don’t let it see salt.) Went 6 weeks without running it til two weekends ago, which is way too long and not good for it, but neither is the salt. 🤷‍♂️

And it’s been hard to find days above freezing to get the salt off my other vehicles.

And at least by me (Harrisburg area), it hasn’t been any massive storms. Biggest was maybe that 7-8” deal one. But lots of 1-3” events, seemingly every few days. Not enough to really make driving all that bad with all the treatment, but enough to be a PITA in that ya gotta shovel it. The “pile” by my mailbox almost completely went away, but it’s back and looking healthy.

2013 gibson les paul classic custom mint cond pm me if interested for details
Hmmm. I'm intrigued. I love guitars, and pretty much all instruments. I can't say that a Gibson Les Paul is exactly "in the budget" right now, but......

I hate to say this, but I am not sure that Gibson warrants the price jump over the quality that the Epiphones are bringing these days. Asia has stepped up their game, and they are producing some very nice instruments.

I have a higher end mid 2010’s Epi LP Standard with the Epi pickups tuned to be clones of the 59 Gibsons. Thing sounds better than plenty of the Gibson I’ve touched. (Also, I suck at guitar far worse than I suck at FFing, or golf even.)

(Not knocking Gibson’s, they’re awesome, but as with every product line, there’s variation in models and time periods.)

Agreed there is no reason to spend over a thousand on a guitar unless you really lust after the nameplate. I am not a professional, playing a Korean made (or wherever) guitar suits me just fine......

Gee....sounds an awful lot like fly rods doesn't it?

High of 21 today. Over the weekend, we had a forecast of up to 30 inches of snow. Luckily, we only got about 6 inches - and 12 hours of freezing rain. Everything that was shoveled multiple times (sidewalks, driveway) has a 2 inch layer of ice.

We're also getting what looks to be about 5 inches right now on top of the ice, despite no snow being in the forecast today.

**** winter.

Fair enough.

I have one from the same time frame and agree with your findings. Got it cause I was looking to get close to Clapton's "Woman Tone"..
Check out the online stuff about wiring and capacitor changes in the LPs

Yeah. Mine does everything well. For as hot as the pickups are they clean up nice, and can kinda try to fake a Strat kinda tone at lower volume and amplification. Have a Strat with a HB in the bridge that I like better for 80’s stuff - position 4 with a little chorus/comp/reverb and you have Def Leppard, but otherwise I like that LP.

Uhhh winter then the work for next winter needs done in time to fish Humm that gives me a month to knock out about 4 cords of wood very doable

Woke up this morning in South Jersey. The power was off and on all night. No internet or tv. Some branches down in the area.
I saw the further east and especially the coast got the effects of this "bomb cyclone" And that on top of what, I believe for everyone in the N.E. has been a LOOONG winter. Not as bad as the one back like 10-11 years ago, the year we got those "snow rollers". We haven't had a deep snow pack, like I remember from the earlier 2000's. I remember walking the dog in a foot of snow or more over time. No 20-below days, but 2 10-below days and single digits now throught mid-late February. Not a horrible winter, but just
so
very
long.
