Thanks for the proper link. Its definitely worth building one, you really dont have to be too handy, if you can cut the wood to size and simply wood glue the pieces together youre good to go.

Thetonyage, Can you (or anyone) give me more info on how you added the motor? I was thinking that it wouldn't take a very powerful motor to turn a rod blank. I was just brainstorming and thinking that I could pull the motor out of an old toy (rc car or something) and connect it to a dimmer switch for variable speed. I'm not an electrician but I do know how to solder...I love homemade projects like this!
