1700 acres purchased for State Park in SE PA

While this is great news for many folks, and it offers lots of opportunity, this land isn't "by far the biggest state park near Phila"... Ridley Creek State park would hold that title.
They say this new land consists of 1,700 acres, Ridley Creek SP holds about 2,600 acres. Pretty big difference.

The 1700 land acquisition is an addition to the 2000+ acre White Clay Creek Preserve and making in well over 3700 acres. Plus it's contiguous to State land in both MD & DE expanding the area to over 8000 acres of public land for the tri-sate area.

Gotcha. Any new land that is set aside for the public's use is appreciated. I'd love to see this kind of thing happen more frequently!
