I always enjoy watching youtube fly tying videos, so I thought I would start a thread to showcase favorite tying channels to expand everyone playlist.

My top 3..

1. Tightlinevideo by Tim Flagler
2. Davie McPhail
3. The Weekly Fly (showcases a variety of tyers)

If you have your own tying channel please add it if you wish.

I love watching Davie McPhail
I also like Tim Cammisa and In the Riffle

First of all, thanks to all of you who support my channel.

Next, you hit most of the major ones I watch, though I will add John Zimmerman's to the list:

Another channel that's not necessarily all fly tying, but has a great library of aquatic insect information is : ( Rog and Jane Klettke )

Kelly Gallop has great videos. slide In would also get you there in a search.

How could I forget that one. Although I think its Kelly Galloup and Slide Inn. I've been watching a bunch of his video's recently. They are pretty good and informative.

I wish Galloup would do more videos more often. His personality and opinions are a refreshing change of pace from some of the youtube fly tyers. Some of these people are hardly watchable. Not because they are bad tyers, but because they belabor otherwise simple flies and have the personality of wet cardboard.

The short list of you tube fly ting channels I enjoy:

InTheRiffle
tightlinevideo
TheSlideinn
flyfishingtheozarks
Fly Fish Food

All of the above offer interesting patterns and materials, good tying skills, and above average video, audio, and editing quality. They are also concise and do hold my interest.

Thanks, and I appreciate the kind words.

Tim

Tim - Please keep doing what you are doing. It was your video's along with those of some others that were listed here that removed a lot of the mystery of how a fly was tied. They also gave me the confidence to go out and buy some tools, materials, and vise to give tying a try. Its really something that has turned into an addiction.

So to you and the other youtube tyers, thank you for putting the time and energy into creating and sharing those tutorials. They are a tremendous help to the beginner. I know you will never know how many people your video's have impacted and influenced but I am sure the number is great Again thank you! The time, effort and knowledge you share is incredibly valuable to the new and seasoned tyers.
