Are you looking for an opportunity to find out more about natural gas drilling and what you can do to make sure drilling is done right?

Well, we’ve got a workshop you don’t want to miss.

On Tuesday, March 15, PennFuture is hosting our second workshop for local citizens and landowners to learn more about deep natural gas drilling in the Marcellus Shale and the laws and regulations governing the process. There is a lot of information and misinformation about gas drilling, but this workshop can help ordinary citizens learn more about what they can do.

Join us at this event in Tioga County, or one of our other free workshops at a location near you to learn more about the natural gas exploration process, how it is regulated, and what must be done to ensure our land, water and communities are protected.

Local citizens and landowners have an indispensible role in making sure that drilling is done responsibly. Our workshop will give you the legal tools you need – from permit application to production and who oversees the process along the way – to help protect your community. You’ll get an overview of the relevant laws and regulations, an update on development, and where to go from here.

Specific topics covered include:

The permitting process;
Reviewing permits and filing complaints;
Updates on state policy; and
Next steps to ensure responsible drilling.
Laws and regulations about drilling;

Register for one of these free workshops today. Space is limited. Pre-registration is required.
