Kept the wing case but dropped the legs.
I tie a lot of mine on size 16 or 18 scud hooks, too. I just tie on a pheasant tail, wind pheasant tail for the body and gold wire for the ribbing. I finish by tying on a piece or 2 of peacock herl, or dub with synthetic peacock herl. I guess it's sort of a guide's kind of tie.

More of the same that I've been on: weedless Deceiver vibes with some Bob Pop hollow fly influence on the body. 4/0, coming in about 6 inches.

Might have to wait for spring on these. Got out in the boat today looking for pike, but the 10 day forecast doesn't have another day that hits 40.
