Recovering from the ol' ball snip surgery, so I've been off the water and back at the vise

I am happy to say that I am fully recovered and back to wet wading again. As the lidocaine wore off the first day, I felt a little discomfort and I was waiting in terror for the full pain to smack me in the face. Nothing! There was a definite sense that something had happened down there but no pain at all. Easiest recovery from surgery I've ever experienced.

Sorry, all, for the tangent into tying of a different sort.

Messing with some pheasant.

Tied up a few clouser crayfish. I used to melt heavy mono to make eyes, but i did these with
uv resin. I like em.

My four-year-old grandson started to name flies tied by his dad and his uncles. He's come up with the following that sometimes have nothing to do with the appearance of the fly:
Forb the Norb
Greeeeeeeeen Bass
Black Hempford (his dad has no idea where "Hempford" came from)
Sky of the Dark
Yellow Slapper
We've decided to let him name all the flies from now on.😀
