It's UTC small brown vinyl rib. I think they call it "midge" size now.

Saw this pattern in some spam email yesterday and had to know how they made the abdomen. Turns it out it's twisted nymph skin, which is actually kinda tough to get to sit where you want it. I do like the lumpy look tho.
