Dave, love those soft hackles. Everything’s better with a partridge collar!

Just started tying a couple weeks ago. First time tying with biots. The fish liked it! (and so did a tree at the end of the day...)

Some stoneflies for the springtime nymphing season. This is one of my go-to patterns this time of year, especially in pocket water and riffles.

The curved shank hook is weighted at mid-shank which enables the fly to drift hook upward reducing snags.

Big John. Here is Holsingers tying one with eggstacy. I heard of the stuff but never saw it our used it. I had to check and see how it was used. This video came up. Pretty simple.

Thanks for the video link. I hear they are very easy to tie and very effective. I know a lot use them up in NY and I've snagged a few on the bottom and found a few in the trees while up there.

Nice streamer! Thanks for reminding me about these journals! I have almost all of them. I dug this issue out last night & forgot about Ora Smith. What a collection of streamers!

Your tie inspired me to take some bench time and tie up a dozen or so in different color biots!
