I was at Valley Creek near Mill rd today and noticed a swath of trees were cut down. Does anyone have any background info on this?

Please be careful where you wade. The native beavers are guarding their redds... Seriously though, I noticed the same thing and wondered what was going on.

Cutting is for access to sewer line for repairs.

Shad - you are correct. The Township is relining the sewer main that runs thru the area. If anyone is fishing these areas and sees improper erosion controls or any stream "damage" please email me so I can check it out or have someone on VFTU look at it. My email is awpancoast@hotmail.com. Thanks.

Update - members of VFTU have met with the Township and had a meeting to discuss the clearing of the sewer right-of-way and shared any concerns that exist. Bottom line...gotta keep an eye on things.
