Tiadaghton Campground

The road is open, it’s a bit rough and I’d recommend that you have some ground clearance on whatever vehicle you use.

Since the mass influx of people camping in the state forest, forestry has now made most of its campsites reservable. Use this link Here

If you have questions, call the Tioga state forest office. I doubt Harrisburg would be able to be much help.

Mass influx!!!!

Yes. During 2020 and 2021, record numbers of people recreated outdoors. It’s a well know fact, that is reflected in fishing and hunting license sales, camping permit sales and it’s been discussed on this very forum.

As a result, a number of issues arose at DCNR forestry campsites requiring an overhaul of how camp sites are managed.

I'm well aware, thanks for the insight

You should call PA DCNR/Forestry:

Contact DCNR’s Bureau of Forestry

Rachel Carson State Office
Building, 6th Floor
P.O. Box 8552
Harrisburg, PA 17105-8552
Phone: 717-787-2703
PaForester@pa.gov

And if you do get in contact with someone in Harrisburg, they'll probably redirect you below, which is the office that could actually answer the questions. In my experience, individual offices have always been prompt with answering phone calls or emails and have the most knowledge of conditions and what happens in their forests.

If you must know, your snotty comment to me stating that I hike that far for fun.
Your comment was irreverent to the conversation.

You provided incorrect information to a poster regard the distance between two points. You misjudged the distance by well over 25 percent. When I pointed that out, you felt the need to tell me that you hike farther than that, and on uneven terrain. Why did you feel the need to share that? No one knows.

I get it though, you spend a few weekends a year in Northern PA and you think you know everything about the area.
