Finally picked a pattern too...its a para-loop midge i've been messing around with. Grizzly hackle to keep it in the film, and the black thread body/curved shank break the surface...kinda like a tiny klinkhammer. I haven't fished it yet, but it looks pretty cool in water.

Hook: # 20 scud
Body: Tapered Black 8/0 UNI
Wing: Grizzly para-loop
Thorax: Muskrat

Flatwing streamer-

Hook: #2 Gamakatsu Dropshot
thread: Black 70 ultrathread
tail: 1 Red saddle hackle tied flat over about 30 white bucktail hairs (dub a small "pillow" of the fluff from the base of the feather to seat the feather in, just in front of bucktail.
Body: Christmas tinsel (some sort of holographic silver) wrap to wing tie in.

Wing: 3 peacock herls long enough to reach back of tail, over brown over white bucktail. Add small amount of angel hair flash in between bucktail.

Cheek: 3 hairs red buck tail tied in on each side of fly.

Black thread head.
