Steelhead - 7wt or 8wt?

orvis does make a 10' 8wt it is called the access. I have it in a 5wt for nymphing trout streams and it is awesome. I would probably opt for a cheap rod for steelhead.

I second the cheaper rod for Steelhead. You can easily break it with chucking lead, or with the ice. Check out the swap forum. Studentofthestream had a 10' 7wt for sale for under $100 on there. Not sure if it sold yet or not.

Thats one of the reasons I like the Echo - $189, while not cheap, its not overly expensive either.
