So I broke the tip off of one of my favorite small stream rods - my Sage TXL 7ft 4 wt. Sent it in to Sage (now owned by Far Bank Enterprises) for repair. After waiting for three months, I finally got the message that the repair was finished.
When the tube showed up in the mail, I was surprised to open a new 6’6” Sage Dart. I guess they couldn’t repair the tip of the TXL. I’d really like to get another (used) TXL, and already have a couple small brookie rods, so I don’t really need the Dart.
Feels like a really nice little rod, and it comes with the warranty card, sock, and tube.
Retails for $825, and I’d be willing to chop a substantial piece off of that (was thinking around $650, but definitely negotiable). Feel free to reply or PM with questions/offers.
Anywhere near Carlisle and I can drop it off, or we can arrange shipping. Pics below.
