Purple Paint

This is the only "posted" sign I enjoy seeing. For the record, I got this from a rotted blow down on SGL many years ago. I don't even know if they still put these up.

Looks familiar. I may have found some similar blowdowns over the years. They were plastic at one point but now I see mostly white paint. State Forest boundaries were round metal tins, black lettering on silver background.
 
They still use metal signs at times. The DCNR put them on all public islands in the Juniata about 5 years ago.
I have seen lots of metal signs out there.
 
i agree with the landowners right to paint but we all know there are folks that abuse it by painting just to protect there honey holes that they dont own the land rights anyway,,,,, they just dont want any competition lol
