New fly line connections

I beg to differ. Sat on the bank of the SGL of the WB and tied a nail knot as I saw the RIO welded loop shredding apart just last week. I always carry two inches of ballpoint refill for the job. My guess is braided and welded loop failures far exceed nail knots. Also, that $100.00 Rio line has a million minute cracks. Wish I could say I’ve been out enough to wear out a line.

Yep. A million minute cracks. Every Rio line I bought did that in a short amount of time. I am sticking with Cortland for now.
